Toni Hicks is planning to work with Carolyn Watt and Maria Eva Russo on ways utilise materials by building them up in combinations to create products for various applications. As she comments:” by breaking down the materials further and reconstituting them into a range of yarns with particular properties, there would be endless potential”. She is planning to:” experiment and create ‘yarn’ as our product. Initially using fundamental methods, of twisting, plying and spinning and testing by making textile samples. Then following up our Diamond Fibres link with a visit, to see if he is amenable to working with us. It might also be possible to work with PABS on this”. Toni recommends looking at the video on Carbon nanotube fibre construction a more sophisticated version of the same approach
