From Sussex to Northern France

As we drove from Dieppe to Alencon Dave Saunders was explaining how the geology in Northern France is similar to that of Sussex, so the vernacular materials will be similar. However there are no deer or grey squirrels in France that can cause damage to woodland in the UK. There also less hedges in France (a common feature in the UK due to the Enclosures Act). He pointed out the mistletoe (above) that can be seen clearly now amongst the branches now the leaves have dropped.
