The Great Recovery

During the Alencon trip Harry Trimble was telling us about his recent visit to the waste  SWEEEP in Sittingbourne as part of the RSA Project: The Great Recovery seeking to encourage innovative ways to re-use waste from landfill. SWEEEP is a waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling plant in line with the WEEE directive introduced into UK law in 2007 that comes into force in March 2013. Harry was describing how at SWEEEP they are already extracting huge quantities of lead from TV screens on a daily basis.
